I am trying desperatly to find emigration information on Thomas Craig. The only information I have is his wife's name (Christian Grant Hynes), and thier son's information, which is Noble John Craig, Born 17 July, 1906, Pincher Creek, Alberta, Canada. Died 04 March, 1983. Any suggestions or leads would be appriciated.

andrewcraig74,
There's a Thomas CRAIG living in Pincher Creek in the 1901 census.
(Alberta is listed as part of "The Territories")
http://www.automatedgenealogy.com/census/index.html
District: TT ALBERTA (#202) Subdistrict: Pincher Creek m(3) Page 12 Schedule 1 Microfilm T-6551
Line 17; Family 133
CRAIG, Thomas, Head, Single, born 25 December 1865 in Ireland, 35, came to Canada in 1874, Methodist, Rancher
It looks like the good folks at Automated Genealogy haven't transcribed his family yet in the 1906 census.
You could look for him in this transcription (but if you don't find him, it doesn't mean he wasn't there):

Government of Canada website with the 1906 Census images (but no transcription): http://www.collectionscanada.ca/archivianet/020153_e.html

andrewcraig74,
I see that Pincher Creek is not listed by name in the Government of Canada site for the 1906 census.
This webpage explains how the districts were broken up for the 1906 census in Alberta:
http://www.afhs.ab.ca/data/census/1906/alberta/18/
For Pincher Creek post office: District 18; Sub-district numbers: 6, 7, 8, 9, 18, 19, 20, 21 & 22
It has links to the images.
Or, you can search on the district and sub-district at:
http://www.collectionscanada.ca/02/02015302_e.html
For example, District 18, Sub-district 6 has 10 pages you can view. (I opt to view it without the Mr. Sid plug-in and it works just fine.)
Perhaps you will find your CRAIG family that way.
Regards, Josephine

andrewcraig74,
This shows a Thomas Craig in the 1891 census of Alberta:
http://www.afhs.ab.ca/data/census/1891/1891cr.html 1891 Census - Districts #197 and #199 in Southern Alberta: Cr
He's 26 years old, born in Ireland, and a rancher, but listed as Roman Catholic.
The LDS site www.familysearch.org shows a Thos. H. Craig, 16 years old, born in Ireland, living in Winnipeg, Selkirk, Manitoba in the home of George and Maggie Firestino.
If this is the right person, then it looks like he lived in Manitoba before he settled in Alberta.
Regards, Josephine
