On 21-06-1713 at Newton, Thomas Craige married Anne Arbuthnot.
I'm trying to identify Anne's Father.

Hi Max

This will be a tough one because is OPR and most marriage records won't have parents name.

If you know the parish it is worth contacting National Archives Scotland http://www.nas.gov.uk/. They may be able to help point you in right direction. However in a lot of places the records just don;t go that far back but they will know which do and have copies of them

Good Luck

Hi maxsilver41,

There are only 2 Anne Arbuthnots on Scotland People website before marriage date of 1713. There may have been more but not in established Curch of Scotland. None of the 2 below give ma any confidence.

1 - Anne Arbuthnot b 12 Aug 1681 c 14 Aug 1681 Arbuthnot Kincardine – father was Alexander extracted record. She would have been 32 on marriage.
2 - Anne Arbuthnot christened 13 Apr 1691 at Longside, Aberdeen, father was Nathaniel, would have been 22 at marriage.

Two children on IGI, they are submitted records so treat with caution.

Walter Craige 02 Jul 1714 Newton Midlothian
Thomas Craige 07 Sep 1723 Newton Midlothian
