1851 Winlaton Mill - Please
« on: Friday 15 June 07 19:05 BST (UK) »

Looking for the family of George Hall, wife Elizabeth and children Robert, Caroline, George and Samuel.

In 1841 they were living in Winlaton Mill, Winlaton, Durham.

By 1861 Robert aged 30 was married and living in Sheffield.

Many thanks.

There are five George Halls living in Winlaton/Ryton on the 1841 census.  Could you please provide the references and ages of the family so that we know which ones we are searching for.

I'm assuming this is the family in the 1841 census
Winlaton Mill, Winlaton, Durham
George Hall 50 Tiler of Steel? No
Elizabeth 45 No
Robert 20           " Ap Yes
Caroline 15 Yes
George 14 Yes
Samuel 7 Yes
HO107; Piece 302; Book: 10; Folio: 5; Page: 4

Are you sure you have the right Robert on the 1861 census as he should be around 40 years old not 30.

Sorry MaryA...Robert was 40 in 1861.

Samuel Hall the Visitor is spot on. I think he went on to marry Mary Ann.
