Hi All
I have just bought a house in Dunkirk and would like to know a bit more about the area.
Are there any old maps online? Any histories of the Church near Cloister Street and Lenton Abbey etc? Anything that I can access online would be great.
I am also interested in Eckington Terrace, where a friend has connections around 1910, anyone know of and history sites for that area too? Her ancestor was a waggon builder (railways), any details of a waggon works in the area?
Many thanks.
Teddy

Thanks for that. Great links.
I can't wait to find out more about the area, especially if there was a big Church building around Cloister Street! After all Kirk means Church, so....................................
