I am researching the ancestry of SOPHIA SANSOM and I want to know from someone more expert than me if this is a possible list of her ancestors, am I right or am I way off the mark.
1...Sophia Christina (or Christiana) Sanson born in Hampshire about 1863, very likely the one who was born in Southampton, she emigrated to New Zealand and married George nisbet in Wellington in 1880
2...John William Sansom/Sanson born about 1837, married to Ellen?, had children, Jesse Uriah, Sophia, Wilhelmina
3...Uriah Sansom of Moreton, Dorset married Sophia Pane on 4/12/1833
4...John Sanson of Moreton and his wife Christian
I would like verification that this is possibly correct.

Do you have her marriage details giving her father's name and occupation? That would help to confirm her details in the 1871 census and also confirm parents' names and place of birth. Then you could obtain her birth certificate, the local register office would be able to check father's name is correct before you buy it.
There is a birth for a Sophia Christianna Sansom Dec Qu 1863 South Stoneham 2c 61 which looks likely.
