NEWBY family of Benhall, etc
« on: Sunday 17 June 07 16:02 BST (UK) »

Hello All,

I would love to hear from anyone else who is researching the NEWBY family in and around the Plomesgate district, particularly Benhall.  Within the family were two brothers, George Albert Newby b.1880 and his brother Albert George Newby b.1882.  George Albert ended up in Grimsby and Albert George ended up in India.  However, at some stage they swapped names and it wasn't until George Albert applied for his pension that he realised what had happened.

The principal problem we have had tracing these two is where Albert George was in 1891.  We have searched the 1891 Census but may have missed him.  Has anyone any knowledge of this family, please?
