Alexander Gerrie and Janet Mitchell Ironside married 22 Oct 1875 Fraserburgh. Janet was the twin sister of Elizabeth Mitchell Ironside who married William Reid Massie.
Iwould like to get further back along the Gerrie line.

Here's the family's 1881 census entry from ScotlandsPeople;
Address: 26 Harriet St, St Nicholas, Aberdeen
Alexander Gerrie, head, mar., 28, male, plasterer, Keith - Banffshire
Janet, wife, mar., 24, female, -, Fraserburgh - Aberdeenshire
Alexander, son, unm., 5, male, scholar, Fraserburgh - Aberdeenshire
John, son, unm., 3, male, -, Glasgow - Lanarkshire
Janet, daughter, unm., 1, female, -, Aberdeen - Aberdeenshire
John Gerrie, visitor, unm., 31, male, joiner (unemployed), Keith - Banffshire
I had a spare few credits on SP so I also looked up Alexander and Janet's marriage certificate for 1875. Alexander gives his parents as Alexander Gerrie, labourer, and Jessie nee Gray (deceased). Janet's parents were John Ironside (deceased) and Janet Mitchell. I think it says "Now ..." below Janet Mitchell's name but can't make it out. I'll post the part and hopefully someone else will be able to.

Thanks folks - WOW - so quick as well. You make it seem so easy but I know it can't be. I do appreciate your invaluable help.
In my original message -

I refer to William Reid Massie. He had a son called Alexander Gerrie Massie who married Janet Gerrie, daughter of Alexander Gerrie and Janet Mitchell Ironside.
Both Wm R M and A G M appear in the photo I posted under the heading - 'Does anyone connect with any of these?'
Way further up the Massie Tree there is a connection to Bowman -
"James Cardno MASSIE and Barbara Bird BOWMAN were married on 18 Dec 1868 in Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire. Barbara Bird BOWMAN (daughter of Samuel BOWMAN and Agnes Helen MILLER) was born on 8 Feb 1844 in Longside, Aberdeenshire. She died in 1918 in Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire". Don't know if this is of interest to Isles?
