Looking for James LEDGE (LODGE)

I am looking for James Ledge (Lodge) born 1764. (The surname was Lodge in 1859 but was Ledge in 1823). He was married in December 1784 In Winterbourne Earls to Francis Offer.  These details have been verified by Parish records as the earliest entry.  I have no idea where he comes from originally.  Can anyone please help me on this?
