Blaikie Mill?
« on: Thursday 21 June 07 04:55 BST (UK) »

Hi Smiley

I have received this note regarding my 4x gt grandparents Elizabeth Durward and David Farquharson.
I was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about 'Blaikie Mill' where Elizabeth was from before her marriage in Brechin.

Cheers
Cat Smiley

Hi Cat,

Log on to www.old-maps.co.uk and choose 'maps' at the top of the page.  In the search box enter 'Blaikie Mill' click GO.  In the 'Please choose from address below' box, click '1. Address Matches' then click 'Blaikie Mill'.
You can enlarge it by using the Zoom Level on the left.  It appears to have been a sawmill powered by a water wheel fed from a lade from the R. South Esk.
