Hi everyone, i'm knew to this site and so far i like it alot, everyone seems willing to help and very
friendly, thankyou very much. I'd love to know where you find the crest's for different surnames
though.

Duncombe's, Squire's, Dowen's, Tuckley's, Hartill's, Brant's, Butler's, Parkes, Perry's, Southwick's, Tarbuck's, Teece, Whitehouse's.
These names cover from willenhall and all of staffordshire.
Plus other surnames connected to them.

Hi Ruby
Are you talking about the crests that some people have on the left side of the screen under their name?
To find that go to the button near the top, just the left hand side of the large Search Rootschat button called profile. Click that.
On the left hand side of the screen two boxes now show saying Profile Information and Modify Profile. If you pick Rootschat Profile Information you will find the crests and other bits of information you can choose about your profile on Rootschat.

You need to be aware that Coats of Arms belong to individuals and their descendants not to surnames. You thus need to be very careful how you use them. In theory you can be prosecuted for using a Coat of Arms which has not been granted to you personally. This however has not happened for many years in the case of individuals although commercial companies have been known to take action.
