I just had to post a message to you. whether I am of any help or not.

I am searching my ancestral roots, which are HUMPHERSON/Lea, Lee, Lees, Lee

I am seeking information on Samuel Lea (1742).  His parents are John Lee and Katherine Summerfield coming from Newport.

I am familiar with hearing the name Oakengates because my grandparents, ggrandparents; gggrandparents come from the areas of Oakengates, Gt. Georges, Lilleshall, Donnington Wood.

Please feel free to contact me.

Can anyone help me to locate a place name. I am looking for a Samuel Lea and family i have them on all of the census in 1851 it says Samuel Lee age 39 born Open Gates? Shropshire in 1861 it says Samuel Lay age 52 born [b]Shelford? Shropshire.
Is there a place called Shelford in Shropshire i would be grateful for any help as i am trying to find Samuel"s baptism

could it be SHELTON?

HELLO REEDY  ian has been looking for you. we have both been searching for samuel lee. i can tell you that the family ended up in stockton on tees. my nan is jane ann lee. her father was john lee, his father was william lee and his father was samuel lee from opengates his wife was eliza from brosely.  we have all the names samuels children, if you want to contact me i am at wolveshelenandkids@yahoo.co.uk and i can give you ians address too once i have asked his permission to do so. he did move to staffordshire kingswinford, he was there in 1835 for sure.

if anyone else can get a message to reedy please to pass my e-mail on i would be grateful. i know ian has been trying to contact her/him for ages regarding the lee family, it seems we are all related.

best wishes helen x
