Cider Making is mentioned on The Cider Museum's Apples and Pears Past website.

The Historic Herefordshire online website - Post Medieval Herefordshire - contains several articles including ones on Industry, Institutions (Workhouses, Prisons, Hospitals), Nonconformist Chapels and Transport

Joe Hillaby's short article about the Jewish Community in Hereford up to 1290 is full of interesting information and pictures. Despite numerous objections the area of the Jewry and the ancient street plan was obliterated by a shopping development in the 1980s. Joe Hillaby's history of Hereford Jewry was published as a series of Articles in the Woolhope Club Transactions (vol XLV 1985/87, 1982/84 and XLVI 1988-90). Joe's article ended "In a city littered with historic notices, and despite recommendations, there is nothing to honour the memory of this remarkable community.  Is the city, one wonders, still beset by a sense of guilt - or is it just indifference?"

The Woolhope Club was founded in 1851 as the Woolhope Naturalists' Field Club. Its interests nowadays cover the local history, archaeology and architecture of Herefordshire as well as natural history and geology. Its headquarters and Club Library are in the Woolhope Room in Hereford Library. The website includes short biographies of Eminent Woolhopians who were active members of the Woolhope. These include Alfred Watkins, Roderick Murchison and the Rev Symonds.  Edward Elgar was a member between 1903 and 1906.
