marriage information caleb emerson & elizabeth mckie

Does the marriage records of the parish have the grooms place of birth and date of birth  Iam trying find the birth place of Caleb Emerson he married Elizabeth Mckie in Stranrear Wigtown in 1818 in which church I do not know they had one son Alexander in stranrear in 1825 if any one can help I would be truelly grateful.

Unfortunately, the Old Parish Register entries will not generally provide you with this info (in a few cases it will show which parish the Groom was from but never birth year info). Have a look at this link here to Pam's guide www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,24468.0.html. In particular, post #2 covers the area of OPRs.
