Bec Smiley

I think you will find when you go to GR that the people searching for the Phimisters are all on the tree or have the tree and have branched out probably to find more extensions.  Sharon was the one who got in touch and gave me an extension.

What family tree programe do you have.     Thinking of updating to a genealogy software programe.    Don't even know how to import/export the tree so there could be problems there.     Huh Embarrassed

Cheers

Hi Kiwi,
I'm using (or attempting to use!) the Family Search Personal Ancestral File downloaded from the Latter Day Saints.
It seems OK for my purposes at present.

Bec,

Mine is family tree at the moment, I think might be the 2003 version.   Its got all my trees on it, but giving some thought to get the genealogy software that has everything you need on it.

Cheers

I came across this snippet in the parish records:-

24th July 1853 - George Phimister on board the Sovereign Steam Boat, had by his wife Barbara Campbell, Findochty, a son baptised and named Samuel Gordon.
witnesses George Campbell & George Campbell.

Hi Alexana,

Good on you for finding that, that will make it more interesting to put in, instead of having Findochty.   That makes another ancestor that I have had born on a boat.

Hi

I am a Phimister and my 4xgt grandparents were George Phimister and Christian Bremner of Wick.
Think I may have found George's father at Dunnet.
Anyone care to exchange info?

Hi Pat,
We must be distantly related as George Phimister and Christian Bremner were my 5xg grandparents.
I don't think I have any info though beyond George.  Will have to check and get back to you.

Hi Spittalhill,

Just had a look at the Caithness Site, but notice you have to be a member.

As I already have a detailed and completed tree thanks to my mother and her relatives,  the information on there will probably match what I have.

Thanks anyway for your suggestion it was much appreciated.
