Can anyone tell me if they know anything about this property.
York Villa, Angers Lane, Melling.
Apparently it is near Glovers Farm.
I am trying to trace it's history, but living in Yorkshire means I can't just pop to the Lancashire Records Office.

There are two Mellings, one near Halsall, and the other on Lonsdale, Lancashire.

Hi
Glovers farm is in Angers Lane, Melling, Merseyside, not far from Maghull. I am near there but not near the Lancashire Records Office. What did you want to know? If it involves me poking around Melling, I am happy to do that but I am not likely to be near LRO in the near future.

Hi Colleen
Here are two photos, one of York Villa, which is in fact two houses but only one has the name. The other photo is of Glovers Farm. You can just see the entrance to York Villa on the left hand side of the road by the big tree.
I knocked on both doors but nobody was in so was unable to find out anything about who had lived in the house. I'll keep trying to find out something and let you know.
