Hi, with help from some very kind people I have finally tracked down a Elias Evans aged 30, living in 1901 at Monklands, Herefordshire, he is with his family and brother William aged 28. Elias`s POB is given as Welshpool, William`s as Willington but could be Wellington Salop. After a visit to a churchyard I think I may have found their mother Isabella, died 1913 aged 66. I wonder if any one can find the family on the 71 or 81 census, the father as yet is unknown. I know this is a long shot !!

Still cant find them think your best bet would be to get one of the childrens birth certs for Mothers maiden name.Then try to find the marriage cert for Elias and Isabellas which would give their Fathers names.There are not that many Isabellas born Oswestry 1842-1847 on the 1851 census so might be worth keeping a note of them .

Yes, thanks for that, I have found the births for Matilda and Rebercca on BMD, so the cert looks the best bet.
