Searching for Mary A PARTMANT

Searching for a Mary A Partmant? married John Hooper Rowland on  16 November 1823 Uffculme Devon, I'd like to go further with her parents if possible.
Mary born Bradninch  ? c 1807.
I haven't been able to find anything remotely close to her surname.

What a difficult one, trying to trace someone with a name that doesn't exist Huh
The nearest I can come up with is Partman, but there aren't any Devon born Partmans on censuses. There are 2 Partments but they must be mistakes as they only appear once each.
I hope someone can check the Bradninch registers for you.

I know how frustrating it can be with finding a 'unique' surname .... I had a 'Knoriton' that turned out to be a 'Carnarton' ...cornish accent etc  Grin

I am thinking something similar has happened with your "Partment' person ... at first I thought it was funny as her name looked like Mary Apartment LOL ...I think we need a person with a Devon accent ....

Seriously though, I think I found them (John and Mary Rowland) in 1841 and 1851 and looked around for surnames in their area  ...no luck as the originals are pretty much non-readable... I will keep looking ...
