Hello. The reason I have registered on this site is because I was having a general pre-Christmas tidy up and found my Grandfather's Birth certificate, along with HIS father's certificate. It seems Margaret Mackie is my Great-Great Grandmother!

I knew all about the old Cabrach area and we all used to have a big gathering there every summer - but now the numbers have dwindled away over the years and it's not much a of a gathering any more, sadly. Anyhow - My Grandfather is James Norman Roberts Mitchell - born 1900. His parents were James Mitchel and Isabella Anderson. On James Mitchell's Birth certicate are his parents names, William Mitchell and Magaret Mackie! So I have the actual original Birth certificate in front of me from 1873!
I could photocopy or scan and e-mail if it's of any interest?

PMs was my abbreviation for "Personal Messages"!
I use other message boards and a lot of people use that abbreviation, sorry...
I am going to try and scan these documents, but I have forgotten how the scanner works...
