Hello. I was wondering if anyone knew of any sites where maps from 1901 are available (or street layouts) I'm looking particulary for endle street (which in today is by itchen bridge) But just want to double check it is that road for 1901. Also i know the road i live down used to be called something else but want to try and find out when. anyone know any gd sites which could assist me?

It's difficult to see on the 1898 map on the old maps site:

It looks like River Street at that time.  But it is Endle Street in 1910.  I see you are in Southampton itself - a visit to the city archives will probably be the most productive since they will have a large selection of maps.  I also suspect that they will be able to tell you if the names of any streets have changed and roughly what date.

Maybe Ordnance Survey have Archives? They have an address on the outskirts of Southampton -
