Mum, bless her!

Having read through some of the entires on a thread which brought up the names "Mr Donald Duck" and "Mr Michael Mouse" as real people, I got to thinking about people I've known who had "suitable" sounding names for their circumstances/occupations.
Here's a few of my old schoolteachers for instance:
Mrs Spicer - Domestic Science Miss Patton - Needlework Mr Benson (knicknamed "Bunsen") - Chemistry Mary Stewart (Stuart) - History
Anyone else got some goodies?

Remember those who are dying in foreign fields ...

Not quite what you mean ... but when I was in infants school (back in the time of Magna Carta or thereabouts) ... we had teachers called Miss Bonnet, Miss Button, and the head-mistress was Miss Boot !
Absolutely true ! (except the bit about Magna Carta)

I had a teacher with a name that didn't fit with her occupation (so not quite on topic but I can't resist ) but memorable all the same - Mrs Piddle.
