A smile can make some ones day

Hello there back in 2006 Mike from Leicester gave me lots of valuable in formation concerning my father's accidental death.
I have now acquired a copy of the death certificate and I have to say I am amazed at the amount of information. It gives his name, address, date of birth, occupation and marital status.Not only does it state the cause and time of death but also says where, when and how it occurred even naming the road and the nearby public house. The column was filled right to the bottom of the page with information! This proves that it is worthwhile getting the certificate if you know the date of the death.
I have also been able to locate where my dad's ashes were placed.
Next week I am travelling to Leicester to visit the site of the accident which took place 47 years ago.
I want to say a big big thank you to Mike for all his help and advice on the subject. Without him I doubt I would have got as far as I have. I am very grateful for all the time and effort put in on my behalf.

I've not logged in for a while, but I'm glad I have now so I'm able to join in the accolades for "Mike of Leicester". He's helped me too! I have to agree he does go the extra mile and his daughter helps out too. Not so long ago she replied on Mike's behalf as his computer was down. It is obviously a family trait.
I've learnt all sorts from Mike including why people might want to get married by licence instead of Banns e.g Harvest time. I even learnt a bit about gardening e.g onions like well firm soil (after I'd dug it all over- mind you they have done quite well)
