Look up jackson/woolaston marriage
« on: Wednesday 11 July 07 08:11 BST (UK) »

On a marriage certificate I have obtained Sarah Jackson is shown as widow when she remarried in 1845, I am trying to find her 1st husbands name.

On the marriage certificate her fathers name is James Woolaston. On the 1841 census Sarah is 37 and has a daughter Caroline with her age 18. I am assuming that Sarah probably married about 1820/1822.

It would be appreciated if a lookup could be done on the marriage idex between Jackson and Woolaston about the 1820's.

Many thanks

Whilst I never trust member submissions this one looks authentic as there's no marriage in Hunts Marriage Index.

An Edward Jackson aged 1+ was buried at Yaxley on 22 Jul 1826, but there's no sign of Edward senior

Many thanks for finding this, looking at the map Lutton is only a couple of miles from Yaxley and I think it is a high probability this entry is correct.

Pity there doesn't appear a death entry for Edward, and the Woolaston family appear elusive also. I think I will consider this enquiry now COMPLETED. Thanks again to Wozzle and Befordshire Boy for your help.
