Is anyone else researching GAINER and MORLEY in Kingswood, near Wotton under Edge?
My Ann MORELY = Joseph GAINER (b c 1808 Wotton)
Ann GAINER nee MORLEY (b c 1810) and family are found on the 1841 and 1851 censuses at Golden Lane, Sinwell with her father - but no hubby.
The only candidate I can find is in the Northleach House of Correction - about the right age and an ag lab, but NOT born in county. (Oh no! Not another convict!?!)
In 1861 he is back with the family (and there is a "normal" distibution of children, suggesting he was not away for too long at a time!)
There is a death registration that fits in 1868 in Dursley Reg District
Where was he in between though?
If anyone has him in their tree I would be delighted to know!
kind regards, Arranroots

Hi Chas
Thanks for those! Which parishes were they baptised in please (if it is not too much trouble)?
