Here goes
My Grandfather has that photo. We just didn't know who was in it. If I remember correctly, my great grandmother is in it somewhere.
I had always assumed it was the family of her first husband, J. D. Mennin.

Isabella 's second husband was James Lane from Newcastle
in1891 census Isabella is back with 3 of her children my granda McKenzie being one of them in 1893 she marries James Lane and in 1895 they have a daughter Ormuz who dies at the age of 15
I cannot find the death of her first husband Adam
I think he must of died in New Zealand or on the way back to Scotland
Maybe Isabella and James Lane met on the passage back as ORMUZ is the name of a ship that sailed back and forth from New Zealand and England
I have tried all ways to find the passenger list of this ship coming over with no avail
I have the passenger list of the Canterbury that the family sailed out of Glasgow in 1877

We only have a couple of Photos of George Sinclair from that period. We seem not to have inherited any photo's of his wife or her family.
A year later and I can go back on my above claim. My grandfather found a photo of George Sinclair and his family, probably from 1914. It is the same one that his cousin Eleanor gave me a 'photo of a photo' of.
(l-r): William Sinclair (1905-1978), Eleanor Munro Watson (1872-1937), Maggie Ann Sinclair (1898-1976), James Sinclair [front] (1911-1992), George Sinclair (1868-1945), Charles Sinclair (1901-1960), Polly Sinclair [front] (1908-1989), Eleanor Jane Sinclair (1894-1957).

Do you have anything on Maggie
I have letters to my granda( James McKenzie ) from New Zealand from his cousin Maggie Henry or Hendry
This Maggie has a son Jack I have a Photo of him I will send up to you
I wrote to Eleanor but had no reply yet
You say you have another Sinclair photo do I have a copy of it

Hi Betty,
Our Maggie Ann (Madge) never went as far as New Zealand. She lived most of her life down in England - Coventry if I remember correctly. I don't have any more group photos of the Sinclairs but I do have another individual photo of George and of his daughter Elsie. Would you like a copy of these?
Apparently Elsie was in the photo above but she moved leaving a blurry image. Eleanor said she was standing in the white patch behind George.
I saw Eleanor down the road a couple of weeks ago. She said she got your letter and was going to respond. Eleanor has a photo of Eleanor Munro Watson but she can't find it. She said she will give me a phone when she finds it. If I get a copy, I will send them on to you.
