You should be able to go to the topic, click on your post and delete it. If not, let the moderator know and they will be happy to help. I had a few I needed moved and deleted and Kazaa was more than happy to help.

Hi Moira

We don't tend to delete posts when they are completed, but we generally move them to the completed requests board so they don't clutter up the main boards but they are still available to look at for others researching the same area etc.

I posted an 1861 census lookup for Brandon, Suffolk, got a reply saying Brandon is not covered by Suffolk census and I should move my post to the Norfolk board.  Already have one there, so have tried to delete this one but don't know how.  Where do I click on my post to delete it please?

You can always go to the relevant topics and modify or reply to them to say that you are no longer looking for the information.

Hi Barbara

As you can't report your own posts to a moderator (unless sending a PM to the relevant moderator with all the info) you too could do the same - reply to the topic and/or modify the title and/or delete the content and write "posted in error" or something similar.

Yes please!  I tried to follow the instructions on the help board but it just said click on your post to delete it, couldn't find where to click - the other message said click on modify and delete message, but it wouldn't delete, I'm probably doing it all wrong!  It would just stop anyone else from replying unnecessarily
