   Hi Grant....

  So it was only Mary Ann and her family that left for Oz.

  It would be a case of going through the index to look for their names.

  There is in 1909 a marriage of Beatrice Elizabeth Giddings (if yours she would be 18/19) in Bedford.

  In 1905 there are 2 possibles for Nellie Giddings in Bedford.
The boys throw up lots more options and that is only Bedfordshire.

  The index used to be free to view on Ancestry site but looking at details them seem to have changed what is freely available.

There are two contacts (Reginald & Richard) on Genes ReUnited have members of this Giddings family of Bedford in their trees.  Are you a member ?

And talking of paying John, I refused to renew in July last year when they increased the annual sub from £7-50 to £9-95. I see  that the sub has since DOUBLED in that they're now inviting me to renew for £9-95 for 6 months

I don't know if the site has improved in performance since I was a member but I doubt it.

Give me Rootschat every time, albeit it's a different animal, but it knocks GRs message board into a cocked hat

I guess the Percy Hilllyard listed b. 1887 d. 1888 Bedford might have belonged to a brother?
