Funny you posted that, as i was just looking at WW1 army pension records and found a Joseph Lydon Privet 5310 in the Connaught Rangers and that same address?

I have come across this gentleman when researching, but never with an address, I am sure he isn't 'my'
  Joseph Lydon, he was in the Navy, then a coastguard during WW1, but the coincidence with the address
  is strange.

Have you searched the 1911 for Galway? I take it you have seen this Lydon family on Abbeygate st, Lower Galway?
