Morgan & Ames in Newland
« on: Thursday 26 July 07 13:07 BST (UK) »

Hi,
Looking for help in finding the marriage of James Morgan & his wife, Sarah.
James was born abt 1805 in Bream and Sarah abt 1814 in Whitecroft.
Their first child, Harriet was born 1835 followed by Richard in 1838, Eliza in 1840 and William in 1845.
Can't find any trace of a marriage though.  I suspect that James's parents were James Morgan and Anne Wood if this could be confirmed.
James Jnr died before the 1851 census and his wife, Sarah remarried a Thomas Ames sometime before 1861.  Again, no trace to be found!

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Sue

A burial for Sarah:
15 Mar 1889 Viney Hill, Sarah Ames aged 75 of Yorkley
and this one is probably her husband:
30 Jan 1886 Viney Hill, Thomas Ames aged 72 of Yorkley

have you got any more info from you first posted your message?
