I disagree that the John Clarke senior in 1841 is the father of John the blacksmith in 1851.
If you check the IGI at www.familysearch.org there's a baptism in 1820 in Woburn of John Clarke, parents John and Mary, which doesn't tie up with the supposed father in 1841, although it might have been a second marriage. However the only David Clarke that fits was born on 27 June 1824, son of John and Sarah recorded at Ridgmont Baptist. There were another nine children of John and Sarah whose births were registered at Ridgmont baptist, but no John, so I doubt if this John and Sarah were John's parents. David Clarke's age of 15 in 1841 would fit, as ages over 15 in 1841 should have been rounded down to the nearest 5 below (not +/- 5)
There was actually another John Clark family in Woburn in 1841 which looks to me to be your John Clark(e)
HO107/5/39 part 2 folio 19A Birchmoor Green, Woburn John Clark 40 gardener Mary Clark 40 George Clark 20 gardener John Clark 20 Smith journeyman Charles Clark 15 labourer Alfred Clark 5 Eliza Clark 5
In 1851 in Woburn HO107/1755 folio 122A London End Woburn John Clark head marr 55 gardener b Woburn Mary Clark wife 54 b Milbrook Beds Eliza Clark 15 dressmaker b Woburn
The occupation of John Clark 20 in 1841 ties in with his occupation in 1851.
There's an extracted marriage on the IGI at Woburn on 17 Aug 1817 between John Clarke and Mary Woodland.
