Langdale family of Lavender-hill

Is anyone researching the Langdale family of Lavender-hill, Surrey.

I'm trying to find a link [marriage?] to the Brooksbank family of Elland, West Riding of Yorkshire around the first half of the 19th century.  This link appears to have brought James Langdale or James Marmaduke Langdale land in Elland on which he subsequently built houses and named several streets after members of the family.

I'm not related to either family, just trying to make sense of some aspect of local history in the West Riding.

Any help would be appreciated.
