Penwortham St Mary - NEED a marriage!

Does anyone have access to the records of Penwortham St Mary please?

I need to find a marriage and I am so hoping it will be there and pretty certain it will be between 1813 and 1816 of a William Livesey to an Ellen (Huh). The IGI has a huge gap just where I don't want it!!

Their children are down as born Penwortham - the eldest that I know of born in 1816 Agnes Livesey. They are living at Charnock Moss, Penwortham in 1841.

Any help much appreciated!

I don't know if this is them.
Married 25/09/1809 William Livesey to Ellenor Dawson in Ulveston Lancashire.
I saw 2 children Thomas LIVSEY (NOTICE SPELLING) B.05/12/1811 CH.05/01/1812 in Ulveston Lancashire.
Ellenor LIVSEY  ch. 29/01/1815 in Ulveston Lancashire. 

There was another marriage of William Livesey to Ellen CLIFFE 18/05/1839 in St. Mary, Blackburn Lancashire.  I saw one birth Mary 1837 parents William and Ellen.   All from IGI

Thanks for looking for me but I doubt it very much as Ulverston is a long way from Penwortham and I have no evidence at all that they originate from Cumbria. The one from Blackburn would be way too late. Many thanks though!

The only Livesey at Charnock Moss in 1841 was Richard aged 25 with wife Ellen 25 and daughter Margaret 4 months.  Does not seem to be a connection to the Liveseys you are looking for

This is a possible marriage for them

At Howick Lane Penwortham is a William Livesey aged 70 farmer
also in the same household is Thomas Livesey 25 and John Livesey aged 12.  The 1841 does not show relationships but I would guess at John being a grandson

Well I have a William and Ellen Livesey at Charnock Moss in 1841 with children Ellen 20, John 15, Mary 15, Margery 15, William 13, Alice 11 and Edward 9! William is a farmer aged 45. He is also there in 1851 but just with wife Ellen and children Margery, Alice and Edward. It may have been transcribed incorrectly (I have found some weird variations of Livesey!)

I can't find him in 1861 although the possible death I have for him (AMJ 1868) would indicate that he is still around then (maybe the possible death is wrong though)

I would really like to know who Ellen was as she is my 4x great grandmother.

They are transcribed as LEVESEY which is why I couldn't find them.  I searched on Liv**

Yes they have been tricky to find all round really! I resorted to just doing first names and rough years of birth and then looking for a likely spelling error on occasion!

thanks but their marriages only go up to 1753 so quite a bit too early for me as I'm pretty sure I'm looking at around 1813-1816.

william livesey is my 4xgreat grandfather and the only online ref. i have for his marriage is on familysearch.org under the seemingly misspelt william siverey.my 4xgreat grandmother is ellen gregson,married 17/1/1815,penwortham

hi Sharon,
went to preston records office yesterday,seems penwortham st. mary register covering 1815 isn't in their collection(but should be),so it's either misplaced or lost.this puts a big block on my research too as my direct line come from this area.
as to ellen gregson,familysearch.org takes her family back to william gregson b.1692 married to mary de asobboate who sounds a bit posh even by penwortham standards(unless asobboate is french for clogmaker)
