In 1851 John Earl appears in the 1851 census with his wife Hannah and 1 year old son, John.
Also mentioned is a 33 year old sister named Sarah, who is described as a nurse. Her surname on the census record is indecipherable. It could be Earl but looks more like Jowell?
John moved to St Pancras, London and by the time of the 1861 census Sarah was no longer living with him.
I am trying to discover what happened to Sarah. If anyone has any information on this I would be grateful for any assistance.

1851 - HO107/1594; Folio: 553; Page: 31 - Guildford
Looks like Sarah Yowell (altho I cant find a male Yowell marrying a Sarah post 1837 - in Surrey at least)
She's a VISITOR, MARRIED, NURSE born Guildford ...

Hi Newf
Thanks for this.
Not sure what the best way forward is. Perhaps someone will be able to locate her in 1861, although I guess this is difficult without knowing for sure who her husband was?

Do you want to trace her as a visiting Nurse (no relationship obvious from the Census) - she was probably helping with the bairn ?

Sarah is a family name so I assumed that she was related. However, if no relationship is given on the census then its probably not worth following up.
Thanks very much for your help with this.
