Darnhall riots c 1828 - help please !!

Does anyone know anything about the riots in Darnhall c 1828 - Something to do with Poachers Huh

I have relatives who started off as Hitchinson's and ended up as Richardson's - the change of name brought about as a consequence of these riots in some way.

Can anyone help please?
