Does anyone know of a William O'Boyle who is in the 1861 census as living in Tipton his sons move to Barnsley but i cant find any information on William after 1861, he was born in ireland about 1815 any information would be a great help

I think that from later censuses, the son/s go back to Staffordshire- possibly anyway.
However wonder what you think of this- there is a wife though so not sure if he's yours:

William O' Boil  55 yrs labourer b Ireland
Bridget 46 yrs     b Ireland
Catherine O Donald daur in law13 yrs b Great Bridge
John    ditto son in law 11 yrs b Great Bridge
Lizzie  ditto daur in law 8 yrs b Lancashire (

it looks as though there has been a marriage so he may be yours - the 'in law' term used instead of 'step'
