Does anyone have any information about Forres Town Band and it's history? My great grandfather, John McKimmie was Band Master around 1880 and any details will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Rita,

I looked in Libindx http://libindx.moray.gov.uk/mainmenu.asp and there is an article about your great grandfather in the Moray Nairn Express about his appointment as bandmaster of the Forres Corps of Volunteers which you can order via the online shop.
