Hello everyone looking for the family of the late Matthew/Michael McElroy who came from native place of Dundalk occupation ploughman/labourer, born in 1794, trial place Louth Co. Can't seem to find when he died in Australia when he travelled out onboard the vessel "Chapman" his wife was called Sarah, perhaps he returned back home? would like very much to find out what happened to this family, have a great day.

Hello Janet,
There weren't many families named McElroy in Co. Louth when the Valuation took place there in 1854. There were no Matthews but there was one Michael.
Michael Mc Elroy, Edentober, Barony of Dundalk, Lower Ballymascanlan. Louth

Hello Christopher, Thanks for your reply about my ancestor, I didn't mention that Matthew/Michael was a convict and his trial place was Louth tried in 1816, term 7 years, Native place Dundalk Louth Co. He was a Ploughman, labourer. Thanks for your help have a safe day.
