William Mathews and Mary Ward from Ireland in Cheshire.

Hi I am looking for anyone who has any connection with William Mathews c1767 Ireland (Matthews) who married Mary Ward c1760 Ireland. They had 4 children that I can find; Thomas 1782 CO Down Ireland, James 1789 CO Down, John 1795 Cheshire UK and William 1796 Co Down Ireland.

Their son Thomas married Nancy Ross also from CO Down Ireland, and were living in Manchester in 1810 and then moving to Stockport from 1812. Thomas and Nancy had Thomas 1808, Charles 1810, Nicolas 1812, Samuel 1814, Charlotte 1819, Joseph 1820 and John 1824. 

Does anyone Know if the whole family moved from Ireland or just Thomas?
Does anyone know why they moved?
