Missing Names

I have just added my first lot of names to the SIT and have just done a search for them but five names are missing.  I am told I have 17 names, which is what I have added, but 5 are definitely not there.  What happens now?

Update:  Today I have checked and they are all there now.  Hurrah!

Hi Jennie, (and others)

the alphabetic lists of names are only updated once a day (midnight UK time).
This will probably explain why the can't be found in the "search" list until the next day.

I have added some more names on my surnames interest list. Why do they not appear at the bottom of my posts. Have I done something wrong. I would appreciate help if anyone can tell me what to do.

The names you enter into the surname interests table won't appear at the bottom of your posts. 

To get them to appear in your posts, you have to modify your profile using the second option in the list "Rootschat Profile Information" on the left hand side.  Enter them in the box entitled "Research Names or areas" which is near the bottom.

Make sure you click the "Change profile" button at the bottom for the additions to take effect.

Thanks Nell, I have just been reading that.  I had difficulty originally and am still  experiencing the same problem. I think I shall have to leave it until tomorrow when my brain might function a bit better. Only seem to have one brain cell left and it needs a rest.
