Warren in Marylebone
« on: Tuesday 14 December 04 14:43 GMT (UK) »

Mary Warren married into my family in 1858 at Marylebone. The address on the marriage certificate is nonsense but it says she was born in Bristol. I know the index for the 1851 census is limited but would some kind person look for her and see if there is one living with a father Charles Warren, a house painter from Bristol. Mary would then have been about 10 or 11.
If this record is found it might give us a clue as to which Mary this was. My cousin has bought a variety of useless birth certificates trying to find the right Mary - we have assumed she was born in or near Bristol.

Ooh, I can't wait Roll Eyes

If she doesn't turn up on the online index, then a volunteer offers look-ups from the Marylebone 51 index on the Middlesex Look-up Exchange.  This is surname only however, so there may well be a fair number of WARRENS!

Thanks Rick - the problem is there are a lot of them  as you say. I can only find the right one if it is Charles and daughter Mary. She had married before the 1861 census so the 1851 is the only crack I have at this.
