Married in Newport Pagnell 1905 to Florence Mobbs, emigrated to Australia in 1913, but can't find any other reference to him anywhere, born about 1881

Hi jez,
Have you considered his name might have been spelt as Birch?
I'm only guessing but there is this family living in Burnham, Buckinghamshire in 1881, but Henry would have been born about 1877. Parents: Henry and Elizabeth
1881 census: RG11/1461, folio 64, page 14
If you think this a possibility I can forward these details from 1891.
Kind regards,
Pels

Looking for those pesky elusive ancestors !!!

Hi jez, For us mug Aussies, which county/area/ county is your Henry Burch/Birch/Berch most likely to have been born in?
Trouble is that Newport Pagnell appears in an area known as Milton Keynes in MSN maps.
Only to happy to scan for you if I have the information
Cheers Robert

Thanks for the replies folks, but I'll say as much as I know, I have a copy of a steamship ticket which gives the name BURCH, and he is aged 32, his wife, who was my aunt, also 32 was born in Newport Pagnell, probably why they married there. His present address at the time was given as Cheddington Bucks prior to sailing. I seem to remember many years ago another aunt saying they lived in South St. Leighton Buzzard before they left. Which is about 300 yds from where I'm sitting now. Sorry to say I can't walk as far as there now.

rjknott, thanks for that , there's no doubt that's the one, he's on the ticket as a carpenter and joiner, and it's only a couple of hops from South St. to Dudley St.
Thanks again,

1851 HO107/1716 Wigginton, Herts Joseph Burch, 56, shepherd, b W Hannah Burch, 52, wife, straw plaiter, b W Lydia Burch, 30, dau, straw plaiter, b W John Burch, 26, son, labourer, b W Mary Burch, 19, dau, straw plaiter, b W James Burch, 13, son, straw plaiter, b W
Joseph Burch m Hannah Batchelor on 25 Jan 1820, Wigginton, Herts This and much more is on IGI.
The supply of census returns etc for Mobbs/Birch is (almost) limitless. If you want any I'm sure someone will post them.
The places/dates of birth make most of these ancestors likely but a few certificates would help! The weakest link is probably at the start.
