Hi,
1841 census look up please

I am looking for
JOHN ATKINSON born about 1807 in Westmorland "Peston Patrick"
a farmer.John has a son James born  1840/41 so he may not be on the 1841 census
  -----
on the 1851 census JOHN ATKINSON  is in Tatham , Lancashire,
with his wife Isabella born abt 1821 in Allithwaite, Lancashire, Isabella is the second wife of John.

This looks a possibility for  John with his first wife Jane. (remember the rounding down of ages for the 1841 census)

As both his marriages are post 1837 you should be able to get certificates and prove who his father was.  Preston Patrick is a lovely village with a very fine church set up above the village.  When I was there they were selling snowdrop bulbs in the church porch and we bought some as some of my family may be from there too.   You can check for other family members at www.familysearch.org as that is where Isobel found them.  If you click on the batch number at the bottom of an IGI record you can put in just the surname and parents names and get other children for that couple if they happen to have been baptised in the same church.
