i was in contact with a lady who had Lamberts?Lambourns  in Wheatley and after some discussion we did wonder if the name had changed.

The baptism parish records I have for Wheatley start in 1813. A note prior to the start of the records states that 'all baptisms and burials of persons belonging to Wheatley which were performed before the first of January of the present year 1813 are entered in and make a part of the register of Cuddesdon the mother church.'

There is a baptism in Cuddesdon -

William Lamburn 7 August 1808 , son of William & Mary of Wheatley.


Siblings are:
Martha  3 Dec 1806
Ann  6 May 1810
John  5 Feb 1812  buried 3 Oct 1812

Then we hop over to Wheatley PRs for the remaining siblings:
Thomas & Elizabeth  13 Sep 1813 , son & daughter of William (a miller) & Mary (Elizabeth buried Dec 1 1813, Thomas buried Dec 7 1813)
Sarah  Dec 5 1814
Elizabeth  July 7 1816

Then: buried May 2 1817 Mary Lamburn age 33, wife of William Lamburn, miller.

I'm a bit confused because there are further baptisms to a William Lamburn, miller & Mary after 1817!! perhaps he remarried.

I have found William born 1786 Cuddesden, Bullington (hundred) and Mary (45) on 1841 census , with your info.
living in Wheatley

That is great help, i had been to the Oxford centre and looked at the wheatley records but did not know about the Cuddesdon records  Smiley

Sorry to be cheeky, but can you confirm ......
father of William born aug 1808 was William lamburn brn 1783 and that
his father was Thomas lambourn born  Huh

I have found a Thomas lambourn who married Ann Tippin(g) in Noke 6/11/1777 was wondering if they were "mine"

Only Thomas i found born about 1760 was in Eynsham

Then the ones I gave you yesterday - and into Wheatley. Following on from the baptism of Elizabeth in 1816 in Wheatley are the following, which might explain the additional children you found on the 1841 census.
