Castleton Birth Look-up request

My Gt.Grandfather was christened  in Castleton 5th Oct. 1834. He is also listed as being born there on a later Census taken elswhere in Derbyshire. I do not know the date of his Birth or the address of where the family were living at the time,and would love to find out this information.   

Can anyone do me a look-up at  Matlock Register Office?

His name was Henry Archer  and his parents were John & Ann Archer.

Yes I already knew of this error in the transcribing of this Census & put in a request to have the name corrected.
Thank you for taking the trouble to let me know of your find. I have found many errors on the Census reports while researching my family including my ancestor Henry being named as "Mary" and male on one Census, and another ancestor listed as Ellen & male on another, where his correct name was Ellis.
I suppose that the information is only as good as the efficency of the transcriber.

Just got back from a weekend away & found your offer.
The answer to your look up offer is YES PLEASE.

Henry Archer was christened in Castleton on the 5th October 1834.

If possible can you find the address of his parents John & Ann Archer at the time.

hi adelphi, the abode was listed only as castleton but in the next section it said toll bar which came under proffession, trade ect, no other info to what you have already.

Hi Moira,

             That has solved my query. I already knew that Henry's father was a Toll Collector later on but didn't know he was one when Henry was born.
I have him listed at "Mytham Bridge" as a Toll Collector & that isn't far away from Castleton,so he must have been to Castleton for the Baptism.
