hi Joe,
    thanks for the reply.
i have not had time to absorb the info but at the moment it possibly isn't them.
they were know by 1865 to be living at banchory-ternan. Peter was a ploughman and I have a feeling they moved around a bit. Peter moved to Australia in 1865. James Lawson died in 1851 at Alford, I have a copy of the M.I  for him and Elizabeth COUTTS is at Towie on the 1861 census. I am particularly looking for Elizabeth and John CLARK who are proving to be quite elusive. Peter had 2 sisters Elizabeth and Annie but have no idea as to where they were born but know they came to australia and who they married and where they died and are buried.

thanks,Leanne

Hi Leanne,

I have some Clarks that are from the Banchory Ternan Area. Let me dig out my notes and see what I can find... if anything.

Hi Leanne,

Dug out my notes. I have a David Clark born approx 1874 in Banchory Ternan.
1881 Davids father appears to be... Alexander born 1844 Tailors Cutter - Fettercairn.

Dont know/think this ties in with anything you have but will keep my eyes open while i continue my 'Clark' research.
