Hello,
I have 4 queries.
1 can anyone tell me which end of Rodger Drive Rutherglen that the numbers start. I am looking for # 5.
2 what road the Rutherglen Cemetery is on.
3 What road I would find the East kilbride Cemetery.
4 Any information about 222 Main Street Rutherglen.
I have been able to Google Earth Rutherglen and would love to be able to pick out the land marks for these places.

Thank you both for your quick replies.
re Rodger Drive I wasn't sure if Stonelaw rd or Mill st was closest to the town centre.
The dates of the Cemeteries opening has given me a clue as to which ones I should be looking for.
222 Main st was the address at time of death in 1898. As the occupant at that time was also a well known Restraunteur, I had wondered if they lived above the restraurant. There was no reply to my query to the Hospice shop you mention.
One more question if I may, 32 View Park Drive Rutherglen. Would it be in the same area as Rodger Drive ?
My lady out lived 2 husbands so I have her all 3 address'

222 Main Street is part of a fairly modern shopping centre almost across the road from Rutherglen Old Parish Church

This is an 1864 map of Rutherglen, the coordinates for the Old Parish church and cemetery are 261300 & 661700
222 Main Street is almost directly across the road from the Town Hall

Hello sancti,
Thank you for the maps and information. My Agnes didn't move very far at all.
Although the shopping center has now been modernized does it look like the original buildings exist underneath ? Might try contacting your Museum to see if they can offer any assistance.
I am guessing from the map that the very large green area behind Rodger Drive and off Mill Street is the Cemetery opened in 1881.
Had a lot of fun yesterday tracking down all that I had been sent, just the East Kilbride ones to locate, hopefully today.
The links that were posted didn't work so I will try the Post Code UK way today.

The newer cemetery is to the south of Rodger drive, between it and Blairbeth road. The shopping centre part of the Main Street that has no 222 is totally rebuilt. Send me your email address and I will send photos of the houses you mentioned

Thank you photo came through fine, and finally located address's for East Kilbride Cemetery. Links that didn't want to work yesterday are fine now. Maps don't work but will use another map link.
