Bolton Bentham Brown died c1889
Jane Ann remarried c 1890 to Robinson John
5 children from the second marriage, John, Herbert, Francis,Bertie and Marshal
Looking for info on parents of Bentham, mother may be Hannah surname may be Boulton. Also info on Robinson family.
Any help appreciated.

No problem. The U stand for unmarried and the relationship normally refers to head of household.
I could not find them in 1861 and could not find marriage of Jane Ann to John Robinson.
Do you have any more details as I keep coming up blank.

I have from 1901 census (copyright acknowledged)
The robinson family as previously given, plus Arthur 13 and George 16.
We assumed Jane remarried to Robinson John - not sure.
Bentham middle name Brown, we are trying to find where the Brown was first brought in, do you think this might be it?

Hi,
Do you have the census ref for 1901. I am getting lost in this combination of names.
It looks like Hannah was never married to William Brown but that they later took his name.

Hi Mytree,
I have seen the 1901 Census for which you gave the ref. It does not seem to advance things too much.
I think that you have got to the point where the only clarification will come by purchasing a few certificates. I assume that you know how to do this on line. If not the site is
http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/
I see there is a birth of George Bolton recorded in Sept 1883 Guisbro 9d 528.
There are several births recorded for Arthur Bolton around the likely dates.
Don't forget that if you order any certificates there is always the possibility of putting in a cross check reference, so you pay £7 and receive the cert. if correct
but obtain a refund of £4 if the cross check is incorrect.
Good luck and if you require any further help let me know but I will be absent as from Thursday for 1 week.
