"Mrs. Loveridge" Peg Maker, Somerset / Wiltshire
« on: Monday 13 August 07 20:59 UTC (UK) »

This is probably a long shot, but I thought it would be worth asking.

My father ran away from home when he was a young boy in the early 50s and was looked after by "gypsies". One particular woman who was a real guardian angel to him was a woman by the name of Mrs. Loveridge. He doesn't know all that much about her, but she was a peg maker and looked after him a lot as a boy.

She travelled in a horse and caravan group in the Wiltshire/Somerset area- Stokes St. Gregory in particular.

They had brown/red caravans and kept hazel coloured horses Smiley

I know this is a long shot, but it would be great if this sparks a memory for somebody.

Smiley
All the best,
Scott
