On Tuesday September 7th Peternet sent me the 1841 census for Sandbach, I cant find it.(the topic) This gave me three new children of James Jones & Harriet. Thomas Jones born Chester Sanbach1822. He was 19 Isaac age 17 Sanbach Robert age 2 Sandbach I now have Robert age 44 from the 1881 census. Census place G Broughton . wife Mary age 40, son Frederick age 18. Can anyone track back for me 71/61. so i can see if there were anymore children.

Hi again,
a further search reveals Robert. Living at 9 royal oak yard,
RG10/3721 Registration district: Chester Sub-registration district: Chester Castle ED: 3 Folio: 79 Page: 16
Ellen Jones, Head, w, 67, Cheshire, Chester. Henry, son, unm, 19, B... binder (book or boot), Cheshire, Chester. Thomas, grandson, 8, scholar, Cheshire, Chester. Robert, son, mar, 34, boot maker, Cheshire, Chester.
I guess that gives you some more to work with.
Sue

Thank you sue thats wonderfull, I am glad i wont be doing Mary Jones's tree if she was a Nee Brown I am a bit confused as to why Robert is down as the son of Ellen. When on the 1841 census he is the son of James and Harriet jones. I have the Baptisms of all James and Harriets Children From Cheshire Archives.Except these three recent one, and i cant find them on the I.G.I.

Hi,
Not sure about the Ellen, maybe the enumerater put down son on assumption, maybe Ellen was a step mum. Maybe it's not your Robert (although I didn't see any other likely candidates).
Maybe further research will give you more answers
