I have a record 1901 census County Durham for George R Stanton bn abt 1870 Yarmouth Norfolk.
I do not have any family details for George but would appreciate it if SKP would look for him 1871-1891 census.

I can only see one George Stanton born Gt. Yarmouth in the 1891 census and he was born 1877, can't think why he would say he was older in 1901 if he was an actor, perhaps it was a stage name! Anyway, full details of this one if you want them...

Yes please would like this record, I wonder if D O B was just guessed Charles Sandford also an actor was listed as being born abt 1876 Liverpool.
I have him 1881 census Wigan age 9 so that makes his D O B
as 1871/72.

Well I am going to throw a spanner in the works
Being as he was an actor/artist in the 1901 census, and I carnt see a birth for a George R Stanton, could he have been born Stephen George Stanton , as that is the only birth 1870 Yarmouth

Hi Victoria
Some artist/actors changed their names when on stage , as they do nowadays, but like I said couldnt see a George R Stanton birth for Yarmouth Norfolk, and he is in the right place for the 1901 census
