Bob, This location is referred to on a Canonbie memorial - Sarah Johnstone of Glingerbeck-lnow. Sarah's date of death could not be read but her mother(?) died in 1811 and her father(?) in 1791.
There are places in Canonbie beginning Glenzier from a 1828 map - Glenzier; Glenzierhead and MidGlenzier. I suspect Glingerbeck-know would have been near Glenzier - and probably a misspelling

My previous post was slightly wrong. My apologies.
The map - which is constructed from the 1828 map and included in the front of 1960s book of Canonbie Memorial Inscriptions - does only show the three Glensiers mentioned. I decided to look at 1860s OS map on www.old-maps.co.uk and found Glensierbeck-knowe on the road between Canonbie and Kirkpatrick Fleming at or near then Overtown, now Evertown.

My great grandfather, Richard Telford, was born at "Lodge", 1837. After lots of searching I found this place was also called Glenzier Lodge, a farm south of Everton, SW of Canonbie. There were several farms or hamlets in the Glenzier area - Glenzierbeck, Glenzierknowe etc. The Glenzier stream flows through the area. There were several spellings of 'Glenzier'. HBelle
